New Cinema School
New Cinema School produce an emotional and controversial picture of Crimean timelessness
full of transhistorical wormholes. The video blends the disarming mimicry to
late-Soviet romanticism with the visibly ominous grin of historic remnants and
the unsettling anticipation of battles to come. Military helicopters encroach
upon Crimea’s touristic paradise with its puritan ethics, kefir and caramel
cream, denuding its paradoxical, inconvenient and godforsaken reality.
